The underlying assumption throughout this workshop is that we are dealing with influence and persuasion in the context of on-going relationships and building networks of trust. Most business and professional relationships are not one-offs and therefore can only be successful if there is a basis of trust and both parties are happy with the outcomes.

• Identify key principles involved in influencing others
