The aim of this workshop is to develop your capability to give and receive feedback.

Providing feedback to staff & stakeholders is a fundamental way to improve performance, meet or sustain performance criteria and provide motivation. However, providing feedback can be difficult at times because of the difference in power & influence between a manager and an employee. This can be amplified when there are concerns about critical feedback or under-performance issues.

Providing feedback is a skill that can be learned and developed with practice. This workshop will provide several models and a number of guidelines to assist in reducing the barriers and risks of providing feedback.

The learning outcomes from attending this program will include an ability to:

• Define what effective feedback is
• Understand different types of feedback and know how to execute the most appropriate version in a given situation
• Give feedback on the:
- BOOST model
- EECC model
• Understand and follow the feedback do’s and don’ts
